Established in 1995 by Christopher Wilson and David Hill, Wilson and Hill Architects was formed out of a desire to focus on design excellence and the realisation of contemporary architecture. Stuart Hay joined the practice in 2003 and became a Director in 2020.

Each project is approached as a collaborative effort between Architect and Client with an intimate understanding of brief and context. Since establishing our practice we have developed a diverse client base and worked on a wide range of building types. We have established a reputation for both the quality of our design work and the efficiency of our management of complex building projects.

Our philosophy is based on the creation of a total environment satisfying the various aspects of social, economic and aesthetic considerations. We believe that only through close collaboration with our clients can each project needs be fully understood and creatively interpreted. Our design solutions draw their inspiration from what is special and unique about each project.

For this reason, our projects always have a diverse outcome. They are well detailed, sustainable and have won numerous regional and national NZIA awards.
